Fire Prevention and Preparedness

Sep 21, 2016 - October is Fire Prevention Month and October 9-15 is Fire Prevention Week. Fire Prevention Week was established to commemorate the Great Chicago Fire, the notorious blaze that killed more than 250 people, left 100,000 homeless, destroyed more than 17,400 structures, and burned more than 2,000 acres on October 8th and 9th, 1871. It has since been expanded to Fire Prevention Month. This is the time of year when we need to ensure that we are prepared for the potential of fires and the dangers they present. This issue can help you with your preparations and planning.
